TG - Real Men Pay for Things

The crisp silence that usually accompanied night was no where to be seen. Lights from the lanterns set the navy sky aglow, thousands of extra stars  scattered about with their warm shimmer. Clicking of geta as they made their way with chattering voices adding another layer of sound. The talking of friends, bickering of rivals, and the calls of stall owners to draw in the crowds to buy their goods. The excitement radiated from everyone, each in their own way but it was clear the festival was enough to bring even the most grumpy out of hiding.

At least, such was the case for one Kaibun Minawa as he got pulled along the streets by his younger brother. Hand clasped the older of the two was maneuvered about by the dressed as a woman younger. A scowl lightly set in place sharply contrasting the expression Tadashi wore. Much like the lighted lanterns, his expression was bright and cheery with a grin spread from ear to ear.
"What should we do first, sweets? Games?" the teal eyed of the two asked, beaming up at his older brother.
Not amused by his bother's antics, Kaibun sent the other a look, "We're going to see them all anyway, aren't we?" he questioned with a cocked brow.
Not at all affected by the sour attitude Tadashi hummed and nodded thoughtfully, "True... so might as well go in order, huh?"

Getting no reply but a sigh, Tadashi took that as a yes and headed off. Glancing over the stalls in their immediate area, one in particular caught the attention of the genin. "Candy apples!" Tadashi cheered, heading straight for the stall in question and dragging Kaibun along with him. Luckily the line wasn't long and soon they were at the counter.
"Want one too?"
"No."
"Just one candy apple, then!"

Behind the stand the owner chuckled, "Of course little miss," he replied with Tadashi giving no indication of correcting the other. Instead he turned to pull his coin purse out counting the little thin metal rounds. The looks they were being given was many and even the owner himself gave them a strange look. To this Kaibun blanched and quickly cut off his brother's actions. "Here," the coins were handed over and the exchange was made. Handing the food over to Tadashi Kaibun quickly turned around and started forward.

Blinking down at the treat in his hand Tadashi shrugged and stuck his money away once more and tagged along, easily keeping up with the other, "Lets go there next!' before even saying what there was exactly, Tadashi headed off once more. This time be bee lined right along toward the booth of dango. Unlike the apple stand, the traditional treat had a considerably longer line. Just as frustration started to build they were to the front and once more repeated the same pattern. Mistaken as a girl once more Tadashi's grin only grew. So far he was doing great with that dare, just needed to find those boys and prove it to them.

Just as before Kaibun paid for the treat and refused to have some of his own. Happily nibbling on his treats Tadashi glanced around once more. "Sure there is nothing else you want to do?" he asked, glancing up once more.
"Go home?"
"Not an option."
With a groan Kaibun just trudged on, ignoring his brother instead of answering.
